I got my Kindle as a gift. And when I opened it up and turned it on for the first time, it was like “What’s up, Jack Busch? You want to connect with your Facebook account, which we’ve already gone ahead and set up for you?”

Apparently, they pulled all this stuff off my Amazon Prime account, and I had added the Amazon Facebook app to get a coupon. But I don’t believe I ever punched in my password or Facebook credentials.

It makes sense, I guess. But still a bit crazy that the thing ships with personal information already in it.
