This update appears to have fixed my Bluetooth issues related to the last update on my Verizon Nokia Lumia 928. My issues were related to my phone to car integration.

I had this issue a few updates back. Volume control for a game I play affected the blue tooth instead of the volume. I stopped the blue tooth service and then started it and it fixed the problem

Not so with the Verizon HTC one M8 windows phone. I’ve been hearing about upgrades for the last 2 months, but they don’t seem to develop when it comes to Verizon.

Joe..it sounds like you aren’t in the developer preview program. If you are in it, you will get the updates regardless of what Verizon does. Go here to do that -> dev.windows.com/en-us/develop/devpreview

Yes, your both right. I was not a member. I have since become one and downloaded the new OS. Yesterday Verizon sent me an update. I installed it without checking with this site to make sure I wasnt duplicating the one I have. Alas, I didn’t, but I downloaded the Verizon update, which by the way is the same as I downloaded when I became a member. Ending in 341.
No problems so far, I just hope I didnt screw up anything on my HTC ONE M8.

Like the article says, you have to be a member of the dev preview. Verizon still has not released 8.1 to general public yet.

Hi all who responded. Thanks for your responses, I missread the part that It was a developer release. Sorry.
Yes I do have windows 8.1 installed on my M8, but I had heard prior to seeing this blog that a “new” update was out. I guess it was wishful thinking.
Thanks again for your responses and yes the HTC is an awesome phone.

I believe this update killed my ability to use Straight Talk data and MMS. The port setting in APNs is no longer available. Anyone Else have this issue?

Tim, were you able to change the APN settings in your phone befores the update, because normally they are auto-configured. As for the other portion of your text, I had a couple of things that wouldn’t work, but I did a hard reset and everything works fine now.
I know the update resets your phone a couple of times, but I did a hard reset to get everything working good.
    Good luck.

Hi Joe, my lumia was working absolutely fine and three days back i got an update, which got automatically updated. The change was cortana which got installed, i could not see any further changes coz the moment my mobile restarted cortana started asking me questions. I answered her my name and next question was my likes, the moment i selected the options it freezed and got switched off. Since then i dont see any display, it has freezed hwoever it is working, i get messaged calls and all but no display, if i restart it by holding lock and volume down button it gets restarted and can see the screen coming up slowly but no use. Display is working and i see a message stating please “unlock in 1124hours” dont know what it means… Please help, i showed it in Nokia service centre also but they were help less said cannt do anything.

Hi Dino. I’m not familiar with your phone so I really can’t give you any sound advise. Normally a hard reset would restore your system, but because yours will not boot open then you don’t have access to the reset. Maybe someone else reading this can give you advice that may help.
Sorry I can be of more help.

HTC 8x : On this Version I am experiencing Sim issues(network shows no service, at least once or twice a day) and to get this resolved, I need to restart the phone. Also I see frequently the mobile data is not getting enabled when i enable it and to fix this need to enable filght-mode and disable it… Very frustrating!
This seems to be a bug on this version.

    Thanks,
    Khaja

Khaja. Did you do a hard reset? Usually that corrects most problems. Check your manual on how to do this.
