Google Android 4.0: Roboto Sure Looks Like Helvetica

If you’re like me and have any background at all in publishing, you probably had the same reaction I did when Google execs this week unveiled Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in Hong Kong — showcasing it on the first ICS device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone. Roboto looks eerily like the san-serif Helvetica, a typeface typically used for headlines. (Usually, a serif face like Times New Roman is in the body text.)
