Windows 8 is a completely new experience and learning how to use the new interface and desktop can be challenging, even for experienced Windows users. Sometimes you’ll need help or support figuring out some of the new features. One of the most under utilized features in Windows is the built in Help and Support app. Here’s how to access it in Windows 8.
Access Windows 8 Help and Support
From the Windows 8 Start screen type: winhlp32.exe and hit Enter.
Or from the desktop, use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + R and type: winhlp32.exe in the Run line and hit Enter.
Windows Help and Support opens on the desktop. Type in the search term of what you’re looking for. Just like doing a search in Google or Bing, you’ll see the results below the search box.
After reading through the help subject, you can let Microsoft know if it was helpful or not.
You can also add what you think should be included in the article. This is your chance to tell Microsoft a thing or two about its own OS!
I recommend setting it to getting online help so you’ll have the newest updated information from Microsoft.
Click Contact Support for a list of links to different forums for home users, developers and IT professionals.
