Man, I just pulled the trigger on Xbox Music Pass — formerly called Zune and have been very impressed with its integration with Xbox 360 and Xbox SmartGlass on Windows 8…a lot of fun to use.

i got xbox music subscription and windows 8. I love how its integrated with xbox and windows phone but the music app itself is trash. It needs a lot of work.
It is waaayyyy to hard to create playlists from files from your computer. Also to search i always have to open the charms and everything. Sucks!

I have a Windows 8 machine and a Nokia Lumia phone. How do I transfer xbox music playlists to my phone without having the Music Pass (paying to have playlists)?

    It’s frustrating!!

      ^ Yes! This!

I am having the same issue. How can I get my playlists, which Win8’s Music app imported from my iTunes library, to my Lumia 920? The desktop sync app does not seem to be able to locate the playlist files. I search in every directory I can, but no luck.

The windows 8 phone app sucks for creating playlists. All you can do is add a whole album to a playlist, not an individual song.
