According to an email this morning from Google, The Google Nexus 4 (manufactured by LG) will be available for purchase today in the Google Play Store starting today at 12:00 noon PST. The email states that the Nexus 4 will only be available in the US so users from other parts of the world will have to keep on waiting.
Prices for the Nexus 4 are as follows:
- $299 – 8 GB version
- $349 – 16 GB version
Interest has been very high for the Nexus line due to its lack of Android update problems as well as the fact that it comes unlocked and contract free. The price is also hard to beat considering what you get for the money — a quad-core CPU, the Photo Sphere camera packing an 8 megapixel sensor and a 4.7 inch touchscreen (1280 x 768 pixels resolution).
Hopefully supplies will last for more than a few days!
