Weekend Fun: Tiggit–The Free Open Source Game Launcher

If you’re a fan of Steam and free games, I think you’ll love Tiggit. While the game titles aren’t as great as those offered by Valve, all of the games are free to play and redistribute. And most PC’s shouldn’t need a new video card to play them.

It’s the weekend once again. That means it’s time to sit back, relax, and read some groovyPost right? Well, you probably get enough of that during the work week. But if you’re looking for something to do on your computer, why not try Tiggit. It’s an Indie Game Launcher that features free and open-source games. It makes installing and launching them easy.

The project itself is hosted by an independent developer, and it seems to really be picking up some steam. Already it has over 350 Freeware games and over 30 game Demos. The service doesn’t cost anything to use. All you have to do to use Tiggit is download, install and then boot the games up. The games are downloaded and installed by the launcher, so there isn’t anything complicated about it.
