iPod Touch: Use Your Voice to Control Your Music

Controlling electronic devices with your voice  developing quickly. You may not know it, but you can use this feature in iOS whether you have an iPhone or not.

From any screen, press and hold the home button until Voice Control comes up – about five seconds.


Speak in the band or song you want to play.Notice you can use it from the Lock Screen too.

You can use Voice Control to pause, skip, or shuffle your music. Check out my quick video demo showing the process

    Riddle me this bat groovy man. Voice support is great but how do I keep my iPhone from going to the next track by shaking it? When walking to work it always skips to the next track. Drives me nutso.

      To prevent your iPhone from skipping to next track do:
      Settings > iPod > Shake to Shuffle > Off
