It’s the weekend, so some of you might be hitting the pubs. Paying more for drinks than you’ve slurped down, can be a concern when you’re out in a large group. If you have an Android device, here’s an easy way to make sure you only pay for the drinks you’ve had.
It helps to be prepared. So, make sure you install the Drink Counter widget from the Play Store before going out on the town. Then add it to your home screen, just like any other widget for Android.
The Drink Counter Widget will look something like this.
Tap it to bring up its menu. Now, every time you down a new drink, tap “Drank One!” and the counter will move up.
Another useful feature to make your evening more enjoyable is tap “Whatcha Drinkin’?” it allows you to change the drink symbol according to your taste.
Currently, the widget doesn’t have the ability to keep count of different types of drinks. So it’s really useful only if you’re sticking to the same type of drink all night. Of course you’ll need to remember to tap it each time you down a drink, which can be forgotten as the night wears on. But since it’s a widget, it’s always easily available from the device’s screen.
It even has a Coffee and Water button so if you hit it too hard, you can keep an eye on that for recovery, or still have access to booze if you’re going the “hair of the dog” method.
