Since the Microsoft’s keynote at the E3 event this year the company has been making full free games available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers each month. You were able to download Fable III as a bonus game last month. Today, being the 16th of the month, you can download your free copy of Assassin’s Creed II.
Get Your Free Copy of Assassin’s Creed II with Xbox Live Gold
To start off this month, Defense Grid was offered for free. And today you can get Assassin’s Creed II. Fire up your console and select the Free with Gold tile and check out the game’s description and download your free copy.

If you look at the Games with Gold announcement on the Xbox 360, it states that free games will be available on the 1st and 16th of each month.
The Fine Print for the Free Games Offer
While these games are indeed free for Live Gold subscribers, the fine print includes some interesting info you should keep in mind. For example, free games will be available until December 31st of this year. No mention if this benefit will continue in 2014:
