One of the most anticipated products of 2012, seems to have a price tag on it. The German Amazon (amazon.de) now has a product pre-order page for it, and it also includes the smartphone’s price.
The follower of the Galaxy S II (pictured) will cost, according to the quoted source, 599 euros. Roughly, that translates to $788. Remember, this is the SIM-free price, without a data or service subscription. The price should drop substantially when it gets to US operators, as they’ll probably offer it subsidized.
There is no official market release date for the smartphone yet, but a launch event is scheduled for May 3rd, in London.
The Amazon Germany page also lists some specifications for the new device – including, a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with 16 million colors, a 12 megapixel camera and 16 GB internal memory expandable to 32 GB.
It also states the obvious – that it will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
We’ll have to wait and see, though. And until we do that, here’s a Samsung teaser video for the new smartphone, featuring a poke at Apple device users in the end.
