Republic Wireless, an affiliate of bandwidth.com announced today via an email update to those on its newsletter that tomorrow 11/8, they will be offering a Smart Phone running an Android Variant for $199 with an unlimited voice, data and texting plan for $19 a month.
In addition to an amazing price and monthly plan, Republic Wireless also sent a $100 coupon out to those who signed up for advanced notifications via its website. $120 for a phone and unlimited mobile plan. Now that’s groovy!
Full details on the plan and the phone should be posted on the RepublicWireless.com site tomorrow. It should be very interesting to see if Republic Wireless can pull this off in the long-term and truly disrupt the larger carriers in key markets.

Is this available in the UK and how does android compare to apple for apps and general content. I have neither not even a phone connected to the internet.
