Google Voice Calls in US and Canada Free Through 2013

Google announced yesterday that it will continue to offer free domestic calls for the US and Canada, from Gmail, throughout next year. According to the Gmail blog, the search giant has decided to expand the offer through all of 2013.

As the holiday season approaches, we’re happy to announce that we’ve extended free domestic calls within the US and Canada for 2012.

To start making free calls through Gmail, you need to install the Chat Widget.

Google Voice is integrated into several of its services like Gmail and Google Talk, as well as mobile apps. In fact, if your flight has WiFi, you can make free calls from Gmail from the plane. For more on using Google Voice services, check out these five Google Voice tips and tricks.
