On November 23rd millions of deal-seekers are going to be lining up outside of stores to cash out on door-buster discounts. While I don’t recommend going anywhere near a retail store on Friday morning, there’s some great tech deals to be had. Plenty of these deals will also be available online starting at 11:59pm Nov 22 (Thursday). In either case, here’s the top 10 biggest Black Friday tech deals we could scrounge up.
Listed by price (lowest to highest)
- SanDisk Cruz 16GB USB Flash Drive – $7 @Walmart
It’s a good idea to steer clear of Walmart during Black Friday, but this deal may be available on the website for “ship to store” pickup. If it is, you can pay for it ahead of time and pick it up after the crowds disperse. This same model will be available at Radio Shack for $10 on Black Friday.
- Omnitech 12-sheet Cross-Cut Shredder – $25 @Staples
As seen in the official Staples Black Friday flyer. Shredders rarely go on sale, and we haven’t seen them below the $40 mark all year. For the best way to securely shred documents, you definitely want to go with a Cross-Cut one. While Omnitech doesn’t have the greatest track record for quality, at only $25 it’s not a huge gamble.
- Toshiba – Smart Wi-Fi Ready Blu-ray Player – $40 @BestBuy
Wi-fi capable Blu-ray players have been on sale recently for about $70. This one totally beats that price. Although, it has mixed reviews.
Available in-store only, this item likely isn’t worth the wait in line unless you are keen on picking up a TV at BestBuy too.
- Nikon Coolpix L310 14.1 Megapixel 21x Optical Zoom Camera – $100 @Target
At $100 this model will be roughly 40% off the normal sale price. If you need a very basic point-and-shoot digital camera, this one is going cheap. Although, if you have the time to watch Amazon’s Lighting deals it shouldn’t be hard to find a better camera than this.
- Toshiba 40” Class LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV – $180 @BestBuy
40” LED-LCD TV’s have been seen in the deal spotlight quite frequently over the past 6-months. However, few (if any) have come below the $250 mark. This could possible be the best TV deal of the entire weekend. Plus this model (40E220U) has some positive reviews.Unfortunately, this is only available IN-STORE, so bring your anti-crazy-people armor.Update: Amazon is allegedly price-matching this and offering a 42″ TCL model for the same price.
- iPod Touch with Free $50 Gift Card – $195 to $295 @Bestbuy
If you’re dead-set on getting an Apple product this Black Friday, the iPod Touch at Bestbuy is the way to go. The $50 gift card is good on either the 4th gen or ($100 more) 5th generation iPod Touch.
- 50″ Toshiba LED-LCD HDTV – $300 @Sears
This model was recently going for $650, but has dropped to $499 in the last month.
It’s seeing good reviewsand is the lowest we’ve seen a 50” all year. This one is also likely to be in-store only. (Seen Page 64 of Sears BF ad)Update: Amazon is allegedly price-matching this but with a Hiteker brand of the same size instead.
- Gateway 15.6” Laptop – AMD Quad-core A8, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon™ HD 7640G – $350 @Target
Comparable laptops range from $475-$550. This particular model (NV52L15u) is going for $529.99 at Target but will be discounted on Black Friday.
- HP 17.3” Laptop – AMD Quad-core A8, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, AMD Radeon™ HD 7640G $400 @Staples
This year’s HP deal is slightly bigger than the Gateway version shown above, and has 2GB of additional ram to boot.
- Amazon Black Friday Deals Week, Lightning Deals – @Amazon.com
Amazon is running non-stop lighting deals all day every day this week. There are so many items going up that it is almost impossible to track which deals will be the best, but from what we’ve seen Amazon will be matching other stores with some great TV deals.
