Apple today is releasing iOS and iPadOS 13.2.3, which contains more bug fixes for the mobile OS. This new incremental update comes on the heels of iOS 13.2.2, which addressed issues with apps running in the background and more. Today’s update has various fixes for the system search feature, background app downloading, and more. Here’s a look at what you can expect.
iOS 13.2.3 for iPhone and iPadOS 13.2.3 for iPad
Apple continues to work out the kinks in iOS 13, which was released back in September. Today’s update fixes odd issues related to the Spotlight system search feature with Mail, Files, and Note apps. Mail is also being updated to resolve a problem in getting new messages. And this update fixes a problem with apps not downloading content in the background.
To download and install today’s latest update on your iPhone or iPad, head to Settings > General > Software Update. Then tap the “Download and Install” button. Keep in mind your device will need to restart to complete the update process. So, you’ll want to find a convenient time to grab the update.

iOS 13.2.3 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:
- Fixes an issue where system search and search within Mail, Files, and Notes might not work
- Addresses an issue where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view
- Fixes an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background
- Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts
