Amazon today announced that its latest revision to the popular Fire TV stick includes an Alexa-enabled remote control. It all started with the Echo smart speaker, and now Amazon seems to be putting the digital assistant Alexa everywhere.
The New Fire TV Stick with Alexa Powered Remote
The new Fire TV Stick comes with a Quad-core processor, 1 GB of memory, 8 GB of internal storage. Supported resolution is up to 1080p at 60fps, a Dual-Band, Dual-Antenna 802.11ac (MIMO) for improved connectivity to your Wi-Fi network.
It also includes Bluetooth 4.1, Dolby 5.1 surround sound with HDMI audio pass-through.
It’s worth noting, though, there is no 4K support for this new stick. You can pre-order now, and it will be released on October 20th and only set you back $40.
Another benefit is the company is offering a $65 media buying credit if you activate the new sticks before the end of October.

Can you be more specific about the “media buying credit” – i.e., what exactly will it cover?

I imagine that a button will have to be pressed to activate the Alexa voice activation on the remote, yes?
