Amazon Prime Day 2019 July 15th through July 16th

Amazon first introduced Prime Day to celebrate its 20th anniversary and it has become an annual tradition that takes place around the same time each year. But the company goes bigger for each one. For last year’s sale event, it offered “Black Friday-like” deals for 36 hours. And now it’s up to 48 hours. In fact, as I write this, the company is already offering “early bird” discounts on a lot of items.

This year the company even went as far as holding a Prime Day Concert with performances from SZA, Becky G, and was headlined by Taylor Swift.

Similar to previous sale events, the company is offering big savings on its own line of Amazon devices, i.e., Fire TV boxes, set-top boxes, Kindles, Echo smart speakers. There are also big discounts on Amazon services like Prime Music, eBooks, and Audible subscriptions. But it’s not just Amazon products. You will find specials on thousands of items across the site.

It’s also worth noting that there are other Prime Membership plans. If you’re going to college you sign up for Prime Student which offers six months free and is just $6.49/month after that. If you are a Medicaid or EBT recipient, you get a Prime subscription for only $5.99/month.
