Are you a Twitter Addict? The good news is that the iPhone, with its constant 3G internet connection, goes together perfectly with Twitter-like platform boots go with disco dancing! The problem is if you want to upload a photo there’s not really an easy way to do it with the built-in Safari browser. Here are a few different solutions to solve all of your iPhone photo “tweeting” needs.
How To Upload Images To Twitter Using An iPhone, iPod, or iPad
Method 1 – Use a Twitter iPhone or iPad App
On the iOS, there are two free apps that work well for “Tweeting” photos.
You can download them directly from the Apple App Store. Note that any images uploaded to Twitter are stored publicly on imageshack’s “yfrog” server.
In the Twitter iOS client start a new “tweet,” then Minimize the virtual keyboard and Click Photo Library. The Twitter app will then let you pick a photo from your iPhone that you would like to upload.
In the Twitterific iOS client, there is a camera button on the same screen where you write new Tweets. Just Click the camera icon and then Select a photo from your device that you would like to upload to Twitter.
Method 2 – Upload to Twitter from iPhone via Twitpic email
Visit www.twitpic.com and Click the Login button to connect it to your Twitter account.
On the Twitpic site, Click the Settings link, and under the Mobile tab, you’ll see an email address. Add this Twitpic email address to your contacts in your phone and send your pictures to it whenever you want to update Twitter with a picture.
Note that anything you put in the subject line of the email will be “tweeted” on your Twitter stream (up to the first 160 characters.)
I know there are several other services out there that do the same thing as these examples. However, this tutorial should get you up and going. Feel free however to drop a note here or over @groovypost if you have a personal favorite or Comments & Questions!
