One of the cool new features in Windows 8 is it lets you pin virtually anything to the Metro Start screen. Here’s how to pin your favorite music to the Start screen for easier access.
If you have music loaded on the local drive on your computer or device, right click a favorite song or album and select Pin to Start.
You can also pin music or video from a network drive to your Windows 8 Start screen.
Then you’ll find the folder on the Start screen and you can organize the folder tiles under categories or where you want them.
If you want a more exciting icon than the plain vanilla folder, just customize the folder icon for it on the desktop.
If you want easier access to websites from the start screen, you can pin Favorites from Internet Explorer.

have you been able to or tried to make the videos you store on the start screen show as thumbnails?
