Get Vaccinations with Google Flu Shot Finder [groovyNews]

With the success and expansion of , the HHS and American Lung Association teamed up with Google to provide more help in proactively fighting the flu.  A tool is already available on flu.gov. However, it isn’t nearly as easy to use as what Google is currently developing.

 

Using The Google Flu Shot Finder Site

 

To use the new flu shot finder, visit www.google.com/flushot.  The project is still in its early stages, so some of its information could be outdated.  There also is no information on the site regarding availability, but just knowing where to go and who to call is the first step in getting vaccinated.

This season has two different vaccines available; there is the standard flu shot that is typical for this time of year, and the H1N1 or swine flu vaccination.  Although there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the safety of the H1N1 vaccination, it’s still a hot commodity in many areas due to shortages, so I’m sure this tool will be well received once the word gets out.
