Step 1
In Outlook, at the bottom-left corner of the screen Click Contacts.
Step 2
The My Contacts list should appear. Click Suggested Contacts.
Step 3
The suggested contacts list is should display in the central pane of Outlook. It is filled with contacts that you have emailed, but never saved to your contact list.
Additionally, if you want to quickly save these people to your Contact list, just Drag the contact card onto your Contacts list under My Contacts.
Done!
That is all there is to finding unsaved contacts in Outlook. You can save as many of these as you like to your contact list. Or, you want Outlook to permanently delete them you can Right-Click the contact card and Select Delete.

Quick question, and I know I’m grasping at straws… Is this suggested contacts feature available in Outlook 2003?

In Outlook 2003 and 2007 there is not a suggested contacts feature per say. All unsaved emails are still stored as autocomplete data in a .nk2 file.
Some people refer to it as “The Nickname Cache” see the reference below:

First paragraph sounds like this trick works in outlook 2007. Yes or no??

Ah yes, feature is only available in Outlook 2010. Just updated article title to remove confusion. People have been petition Microsoft for years to get this added in.
For Outlook 2003 and 2007 these temp contacts are stored in a .nk2 file as Animis mentioned above.

I like the idea of this but cannot find any suggested contacts feature in Outlook 2007. Checked three different computers so is this just an Outlook 2010 feature, which I haven’t got to check, or is there a hidden setting to enable this feature?

Hello, I am having a problem after upgrading from 2007 MS Outlook to 2010. I used to be able to send an email to someone not saved in my Outlook contacts and then go to my sent box, open the email and right click on the email and add to contacts. Well the system works a little different now but it will let me “open my contacts” and populate the email and here I can type in the customer’s name and info and hit save. But when I go to look in my “contacts” list, it does not show anywhere. Seems only can get it to pull up if I go to my contact like, hit file and select add new contact, then it shows…. can you advise why I am having this problem?
