Microsoft Focuses On Parents And Students To Pick Up The Sales For Office 2010

Microsoft Office A few weeks ago Microsoft announced that they are mainly going to target students and parents to pick up the sales for Microsoft Office. This announcement is almost surprising since the new productivity tools and updates in Microsoft Office would suggest that 2010 is for office workers and companies. But Microsoft says the opposite.

Microsoft Office 2010 is available in three versions:

  • Office 2010 Home and Student,
  • Office 2010 Home and Business and
  • Office 2010 Professional.

The suggested retail price for Home and Student, which according to Microsoft is the most popular, fetches a whopping 149.99 USD. We are not 100% sure that this a reasonable price for only 4 Office products, but it is true that Office 2010 does bring us a new level of better document management, eye-catching effects, improved performance, and much more stability. Perhaps this will lead to a family discount to match the successful student promotion?
