Import an Outlook Calendar to Share on Outlook.com

You might have a calendar in the Outlook 2013 desktop application that you want to share with other contacts. Here’s how on Outlook.com.

Save Full Outlook Calendar or Date Range

Launch the Outlook 2010 or 2013 desktop program and open your calendar. Then go to File > Save Calendar and save your calendar as an ICS file to a convenient location.

If you want to save a specific date rang on the calendar, when you’re about to save it, click the More Options button. Also, for Detail, you might want to select Limited Details as you’re going to be sharing the calendar with other people.

After saving your calendar, log in to your Outlook.com account and select Calendar.

Next click Import.

Now browse to the ICS file you saved from Outlook, select to import to a new or existing calendar, prevent duplicates, set reminders, and click Import.

After it’s imported, you can easily share the calendar by clicking Share at the top. Then add the contacts you want to share your calendar with and the permissions you want to give them to it.
