Microsoft’s latest release, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), is available for download. If you are still using IE8 or *cringe* IE6, go get the update! When installing IE9 you might have noticed something it did differently than your typical web browser, or rather, something it didn’t do. Internet Explorer 9 never asked to be your default browser! So, if you want to set it up as your default browser just follow the simple steps below.
Step 1
In IE9, Click the Gear (settings) button and Select Internet Options.
Step 2
The Internet Options window should now be open. Click the Programs tab and then the Make default button.
Done!
Now Internet Explorer 9 will be your default internet browser. Keep in mind that if you had IE8 set as your default browser before upgrading, it likely carried over the preference for you automatically.

Please email and explain exactly what I have to do to make Internet explorer 9 my Default browser. Some how about 10 days ago I clicked or hit something that removed Internet Explorer as my default browser and started bringing up Bing. I need to know ASAP how to re-install Internet explorer as my default browser as it has been for years. Please help me. I am just a novice computer user.
