If you’re using GoSMS Pro for sending and receiving text messages, chances are you’re familiar with its vast customization abilities. You’ve probably already made several tweaks to your SMS Inbox and other settings. While it’s gratifying, customizing the settings in the app takes time and effort. The hard part is having to do it all over again to another device, or if you inadvertently erase all your phone’s data. Before you experience such a tragic event, here’s how you can back up your settings in GoSMS.

I find this function a huge time saver that lets me use a new or different device without spending long hours to retweak it. Remember that this procedure will only save your app settings such as themes, notifications and UI tweaks, but not your text messages.

Backing up your settings

Open GoSMS and press your phone’s Menu button and you’ll see a Settings icon – tap on that.
