Twitter can annoy you with the default notifications it’s emailing you. But there’s an easy way to set which notifications are sent to you, or turn them all off.
Customize Twitter Email Notifications
Log into your Twitter account and click the gear icon on the top right side of the page, and go to Settings.
On the next page click Email notifications.
The next page allows you to tweak the notification emails Twitter sends. The settings are divided into three sections — the first one is about you and your Tweets.
The second section is where you can have a digest of tweets that is sent daily or weekly. If you want to know what’s happening on Twitter, but don’t want tons of email, this is a good choice.
The third section is about Twitter communicating directly with you. You can have notifications sent about people you may know, tips, surveys, and news about the service.
If you don’t want to get any notifications, simply uncheck all of the boxes. After making your selections, make sure to click Save Changes at the bottom of the page!

Recently I have been receiving soft porn email notifications instead of my usual ones. How do I stop them and receive the ones I want?
