iCloud Converts iWork Documents to MS Office Format

Sometimes a colleague sends you a document in iWork format — Pages, Numbers, Keynote without converting them to MS Office format first. Here’s how to easily use iCloud to convert them yourself.

If you receive an iWork document written by your Mac friend and they didn’t save it in Microsoft Office format, here’s a cool trick to convert them using iCloud.

Log into with your Apple ID and click iWork.

Click the gear icon on the upper left side and select Upload Document. Browse to the location of the Pages document and upload it.

upload doc

Once it’s uploaded, click the document >> Download >> Word.

Download Pages Document

Give iCloud some time to prepare the document to download in Word format. The amount of time it takes will vary depending on the size of the document.

Then save it to  your Desktop or open it with MS Word.

open or save

There you go! Now you can read and edit the converted document.

This trick works with iWork Numbers and Keynote too.
