How many times have you needed to convert something from one unit of measurement to another but you can’t remember the equation? The Windows 7 Calculator received a nice make-over but also quite a few new features, including unit conversion. This is a great feature if you don’t want to be bothered opening up your internet browser to search it, or if you don’t have an internet connection at all!

Even if your a groovy computer pro, I guarantee that all of us from time to time need help for one reason or another. One thing about trying to help someone remote however is figuring out exactly what they’re doing as they hit the issue. If only there was a tool that could make the entire remote support issue easier… Oh wait! There is, and Microsoft included it with all copies of Windows 7!

When adding a new device to your computer, it can be a big pain browse around the internet searching for the latest drivers. Windows 7 can do this automatically for you to a certain extent, and it does a much better job at it than Windows XP or even Vista has in the past. Let’s turn this feature on!

No longer will you need to fumble through Windows Explorer looking for your various files and folders your storing on different parts of your hard drive because Windows 7 Libraries works a lot like a built-in Google topic search for your computer which you setup with just a few simple clicks. If your a systems Admin and you want to evaluate Windows 7 before you begin rolling it out to your customers, Microsoft has made it easy for you by providing pre-configured VHD files (virtual hard disk) already setup and ready for import into Microsoft’s new Server 2008 Hyper-V Virtual Server Platform / Hypervisor. The Windows 7 VM Image has a 90 day evaluation time bomb but, that should be plenty of time to play around and get prepare with your GPO’s and other testing with your BUIT apps. Let’s take a look.
