Amazon Deal: Save $30 on Kindle Fire HDX, But Act Fast (UPDATE)

Amazon is getting into the football excitement this month by offering $30 off the 7” 16GB Kindle Fire HDX. We’ve always been a fan of the Kindle Fire since the first iteration of the device two years ago and have written several tips and tricks for using it, which you can find in the link below.

Update: It looks like Amazon has started this deal once again! Now, the site says the $30 off promotion goes until 11:59 PST tonight. I am not sure if Amazon is offering this throughout the season for half days or what? But do know we’ll look into this further and keep you updated. Same Code at checkout for $30 off for the Kindle Fire HDX 7″ tablet. That’s $199 folks, the same price as the current Nexus 7.

I’ve owned all three versions of the 7″ Kindle Fire and must say this one is definitely the best. The first two were consumption devices mainly, but you can seriously get some work done on the HDX too. It’s a lot faster and the new mobile OS is smooth and snappy. It’s lighter than the iPad Mini with Retina — which I also own — and you don’t have to feel you can’t take it anywhere like an expensive iPad.

    Brian,

My understanding is that the Kindle does not have a keyboard.
    Is that correct?

It’s similar to most tablets and phones today — the Keyboard is digital and on-screen.

You can however get a keyboard http://goo.gl/6PNejc which is what I did for one of my iPad’s actually.

        Thank you for the reply.

I have put off buying a Kindle because I was under the impression it had no keyboard, digital or otherwise.

This information puts a whole different spin on things …. (smile)

          Yup!

In fact, looks like Amazon just started the $30 off discount again. This will be the 3rd time.

They should drop the price formally. Then again, everyone loves a deal. 😉
