Microsoft’s new troubleshooting Fix It Center looks an awful lot like previously mentioned FixWin. It’s still in beta, but already has a nice polished look and is so user friendly that now grandma can try using this instead of calling you over to fix her computer.
Microsoft Fix it Center is still in testing so there aren’t yet as many fixes as we would like to see, but it’s a good start. Currently they’ve covered some of the most common issues, from Windows Media player problems to faulty network adapter connections. The best part is that the entire graphical interface is very user friendly (see the screenshot below).
It’s sure that FixWin still has Microsoft beat on the number of fixes available (50 total!) but this comes directly from Microsoft and some of their future plans for the center include some very groovy features, as stated by Microsoft it will be able to:
Manage Multiple Devices: With a single view of all your devices, it’s easy to manage multiple devices from one view. You can even manage them remotely.
If you’re someone who does any type of troubleshooting or tech support for the average Joe, this is going to be a must-install on every PC out there. It’s a very groovy time-saving package indeed!
