Google Plus does not offer vanity URLs to its users. This is unfortunate since the Google+ profile URL’s are just nasty (e.g 109387712139587362723). The problem? It makes exchanging Google+ profiles with someone face-to-face impossible. If only there was a simple way to create a short, easy to remember vanity URL… Groovy, I found one!
With Gplus.to, users can create short URLs for their Google+ profile in a few simple clicks. To get started, copy your Google+ profile ID. If you don’t know how to find it, just open your Google+ profile and copy the number.
Next, navigate to Gplus.to in your browser and choose the nick name you want to use for your Google+ profile. Paste in your profile ID and click the Add button and you should be golden.
Note You cannot use special characters in your nickname.
