Windows 7 Beta Bi-Hourly Reboots start 7/1/2009
Jun 30th, 2009 by MrGroove
This is a reminder for any groovyReaders who may still be running the Windows 7 Beta. Starting tomorrow July 1st, 2009 your computers will begin to reboot every 120 minutes. Microsoft confirmed this behavior here. Further, the Beta will completely expire on August 1st, 2009.
The simple fix is to dump the Beta and upgrade/install a copy of the Free Windows 7 Release Candidate. If you have not done this yet, I Highly recommend you take the time today and get this taken care of.
Once again, you can register and download Link for Windows 7 RC here and should you be interested in upgrading to Windows 7 once it’s released, I recommend you take advantage of the Windows 7 Upgrade Pre-Order program from Microsoft (Offer ends July 11th, 2009).

@Etarip,
possibly…. And risk a few tag along trogans as well. Honestly, $50-100 bucks for a good OS seems reasonable. I’m personally bothered there will be no upgrade discount for windows 7 ultimate.

@MrGroove,
Or don’t pay anything and download a better OS … like Ubuntu

@Sava,
Indeed! For me, the only thing holding me back is the 3rd party software, not the OS itself. My guess is give it a few years and there will be NO difference.
