SCOM 2007 R2 RTM – Pulls a NO-SHOW
Jul 1st, 2009 by MrGroove
Well… I can’t wait any longer. Microsoft promised Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 would be released TODAY 7/1/09 however as of 5:15pm PST, I see nothing on the Microsoft MVLS site other than the older 2007 W/SP1 version. The same is true on the MSDN Subscriber Downloads site.
UPDATE 07/02/09 @ 8am PST – Just confirmed you can grab SCOM 2007 R2 on the MLVS site. No sign of it on MSDN yet.
Update 07/07/09 @ 11am PST - Just confirmed it’s still not available on the MSDN Subscriber site…
SCOM 2007 R2 Hits MLVS Site (Updated Image)
Original Published Article 07/01/09
No sign as of EOD 7/1:
Taking a look at the SCOM product site still shows a link to the Evaluation version. Microsoft? Really?
I was hoping to get my hands on it tonight but… it looks like it will have to wait until tomorrow (or tonight when I get home……)

@Rtuc,
Good question… Some might say (myself included) Microsoft is waiting until July in order to ensure people have the product on their EA renew it. Granted this is only the case if your a company with a 3 year EA that expired in June.
