Google Integrates Analytics and AdSense FINIALLY
May 1st, 2009 by MrGroove
I noticed in my RSS news reader this morning that Google has FINIALLY linked Google Analytics and Google AdSense accounts. Sure enough, when I logged into my AdSense account this morning I was presented with a link to Integrate the two services.
This is welcome news for me because in the past the only way to get good analytics for AdSense was to create URL
Channels and this was a VERY manual process involving excel… Although I don’t yet have any details appearing in Analytics (A box told me it will take several hours for the data to start arriving) it appears the data will include most what I’m looking for.
One thing to note, although Google upfront tells you there will be no Code changes required to link the accounts, as it turns out this is only true if you have just 1 site being managed in Google Analytics. For me personally, I was able to choose my Primary site and then Google gave me code to add to the TOP pages of all my other sites I’m currently tracking with Google Analytics. Fortunately for me the list is short and all have a overall header I can insert the code into. Not a big deal but something you should be aware of as you move to Integrate the 2 services.
Bottom line, VERY groovy. Can’t wait to waste even MORE time playing around with website analytics!

I’ve been having a very bad experience with Adsense and Google analytics integration. The data in the analytics site are all off and don’t match the adsense website. then when i drill into the stats on the analytics site (single pages) none of the stats are present.
I think they must still be working on it because it’s not really working right for me.
