Groovy Windows Live Review“Woah a new ribbon!”  That was the first thing I thought after opening up one of the programs from the new Windows Live Essentials Beta.  Anyway, Microsoft just released Wave 4 of their Windows Live Essentials Beta and I have to admit, things are look very very good.  I’ve been keeping my eye on the Windows Live blog ever since their post back in June when they announced some of the new features of the upcoming Windows Live Essentials refresh so being able to finally grab a copy and get under the hood is exciting.

Groovy How-ToWindows Live Mail is an effective yet simple program from Microsoft for managing your email, calendars, feeds, contacts, and newsgroups.  In Windows Vista it runs flawlessly and has nearly all of the features you would want and expect.  However, when you try using it in Windows 7 the “minimize to system tray” option is just… missing!  Let’s fix that.
