Today I rebuilt my Windows 7 box and after I imported my Google Picasa database / library I realized none of my .MOV video files were showing up in any of my albums. Thinking it was an easy fix I went into the Option menu only to find the .MOV extension was greyed out. Has this happened to you? Read on as I have a simple fix.

After less than 2 months, Microsoft is pulling out of their mobile phone: Kin project. I think at this point nearly everyone with an online presence will have seen the Kin advertisements, so most of us are vaguely familiar the phone. Wait, it is was a phone wasn’t it?

“Woah a new ribbon!” That was the first thing I thought after opening up one of the programs from the new Windows Live Essentials Beta. Anyway, Microsoft just released Wave 4 of their Windows Live Essentials Beta and I have to admit, things are look very very good. I’ve been keeping my eye on the Windows Live blog ever since their post back in June when they announced some of the new features of the upcoming Windows Live Essentials refresh so being able to finally grab a copy and get under the hood is exciting.

Just when you thought the on-going battle between Apple and Adobe was over, Artefactgroup announced a new project that works around Apples “no flash” policy. It’s still in testing and development but they’ve put some “proof of concept” videos up and it’s looking pretty groovy.
